It's celebrated on the fourth Thursday in the month of November every year, it is a time for communal thanksgiving, feeling gratitude, lavish feasts. It is a time to remember the pilgrims. In the US Thanksgiving Day in 2009 - November 26.

Just to make it clear that's not Thanksgiving celebrations around the world (for one, why would we be celebrating it here in the UK?), the link provides information on Harvest Festivals/Celebrations in some areas of the world, not Thanksgiving.

The site refers to thanksgiving as the "celebration of the harvest."
It's not the "American Thanksgiving tradition" but they still "give thanks."

Thanksgiving 2009 is Nov 26 in the US.
It was October 12 in Canada.

Thanksgiving falls on the fourth Thursday of the month of November.

In the USA, Thanksgiving is the last Thursday of November. It all depends in the country.
