I have an unsettling feeling that this conflict will end the way many other similar conflicts have ended...with an uneasy truce followed by more fighting a few months or years down the road. Meanwhile, the end is not yet in sight...both sides can't even agree on a temporary ceasefire.
And there won't really be a WINNER in the traditional sense. According to what their been saying, Israel can only "win" by no longer being threatened with violence by their neighbors and Hamas can only "win" by seeing Israel eradicated. Seems unlikely to happen.
