I think people should look their best at weddings. I also think the guest s should behave at the wedding and at the reception. It is really rude when a guest is talking during the ceremony or gets drunk at the reception and makes a scene.

Answered Question

Mahalo is adding a tip to all questions that don't offer a tip.
What's your definition of wedding etiquette? Are there "traditional" rules these days?
What's proper about asking for gifts with registers, lists or hints? What's proper about giving gifts? How about manners at receptions? How to handle "mixed-families" and step kids?
How about other traditions like wearing white, throwing the flowers etc - Are these outdated and silly or not? Have you made up your own traditions in your culture or family?
Let's share our personal opinions. Have fun.

In this day in age, etiquette for weddings can be as diverse as the types of weddings that are happening whether it be religion, culture, gender etc. Guests of weddings should follow the tone and direction set by the couple through their pre-wedding communications. If you chose to go to a wedding, be prepared to be respectful of any customs or requests made of you as a guest. Afterall, you were invited for a reason - to share in an amazing moment of love. There are many great books available whether you are the bride/groom or a guest mindful of following wedding traditions. A simple search on Amazon will yield plenty of results to ensure your next wedding venture is a blissful success!
