The best thing that happened to me in 2009 wasn't a single event--but was the process of seeing all three of my kids finally coming into their own. My oldest declared her major in college, got a great research job for the summer, and was accepted in the honors program for a dual senior year/masters program (which gives her 5th year tuition free). My middle daughter graduated high school and was accepted into the honors program at college (which she will be attending on a softball scholarship), and my son who was struggling his first two years of high school is now getting straight A's and is beginning to be more focused on his goals and dreams.
All that's left is for me to figure out what I want to do when I grow up.
