It is not quite as extensive as the other big sites, but what I really like about it is that it's less overwhelming and cluttered with ads like the other ones. It was much easier for me to find what I needed quickly... The best part is that every venue on the site provides their complete vendor list - making it easy to book your vendors from a preferred list. You can also download every venue's complete planning guide (the one that venues usually give you in person when you visit the site). This way - you have all the information you need in one place.
The site has tons of useful advice, how-to guides, ideas, photo galleries, printable checklists etc. to help you plan various aspects of your wedding.
Hope this helps - good luck!

I too have just started planning my wedding and have been looking for something different than The Knot, Brides, Wedding Channel etc. I just found this website - Elegala.com - http://www.elegala.com It is not quite as extensive as the other big sites, but what I really like about it is that it's less overwhelming and cluttered with ads like the other ones. Another is WeddingWire. The ability to easily access vendor reviews is wonderful. The other tools they offer to brides are great as well!
Good luck & aloha!
