The oldest sizable, scientifically and historically confirmed structure that you can still actually see for yourself is still standing is the Step Pyramid of Djoser at Saqqara. The Step Pyramid was built during the reign of King Djoser of the Third Dynasty (c. 2687-2668 BC).

For some reason this subject attracts innumerable cranks, frauds, and speculating teens and the web is full of nonsense. However, there are some other structures of similar age, such as a small one near the pyramid. Also, Stonehenge in England was begun at about the same time but the famous big stones were added much later.

Japanese archaeologists have uncovered the remains of what is believed to be the world's oldest artificial structure, on a hillside at Chichibu, north of Tokyo.

The shelter was built by Homo erectus, an ancient ancestor of humans, who is known to have used stone tools. The site has been dated to half a million years ago.

It consists of what appear to be 10 post-holes, forming two irregular pentagons which may be the remains of two huts. Thirty stone tools were also found scattered around the site.

This sounds like EVIDENCE of a built structure, it doesn't sound like a structure that is "still standing."

Your source is not a legitimate science source. They seem to have quoted a news release that the BBC reported on. However, that report was not confirmed by later scientific papers. Instead it appears to be part of the massive frauds committed by more than one Japanese archeologist.

Now it is being spread around the web by people who don't bother to try to confirm what they read or use reliable sources.

Also, you didn't read the question, it is about structures still standing not excavated holes and tools, fraudulent or otherwise.

Some people are confused about this; but, no, the Mayan temples are from a much later period. The larger ones were build starting around 200 AD. Even these were not continuously standing but were dug up and restored by archaeologists.
