Taif is a city located in the western part of Saudi Arabia. It got a green and cool atmosphere which is very rare to find in a middle east country.
The name Taif means "encompassing” in Arabic, which is originated because the city is located "encompassing" the Sarawat Mountains.
Taif is considered as an important city in Saudi Arabia because it is a major agricultural center and each summer the Saudi Government moves from the heat of Riyadh to Ta'if. Taif at these times assumes importance as the centre of government.
