I am giving my father my presence, rather than presents.

And I'm helping him build a small square foot garden on legs so he and my mom can have fresh salads again. Going from very large gardens and fruit trees on a large piece of property to their current home, a smaller lake home with not very much yard, while nice, has left them slowly realizing what they left behind: the ability to go outside, pick something, and eat. At least with a salad garden to go with their herb bed they can do a little of that.

And next year, fruit trees to replace what they left behind.
