The power to fly, that's levitation, homes.
And the power... to kill a yak... from two yards miles away... WITH MIND BULLETS!
Seriously though. Fight crime AND clean house without lifting a finger? Awesome. I can float and dust all those hard to reach places. =)

The reason for the telekinesis is I can move things with my mind right? Well, that means I can move myself and be able to fly! Two birds with one stone
The healing is just a no brainer when you can fly and move things with your mind. One brain twitch and something bad could happen.

Think about it. With the power of cuteness, I could fly (in my owners arms).
I could slip into any crook or cranny. I could use my hypnotic eyes to get almost any worldly possession. But most of all, I would be in the "now" without having to consciously work at it all the time!
Yessiree. That's what I wanna be.

And then I'd like the ability to be able to time travel, but to be able to be in my own body if it was observing. That way I could be three again, and both experience it but watch from a distance at once. Or watch my kids when they were tiny and really interact with them, but not make the same mistakes. But outside my own time I'd just be me.
I thought about having the ability to absorb anyone else's powers, like Peter Petrelli originally could. But I'm not sure I'd want some of those abilities.

Time TiVo is the power that could help the most people. Stop bullets in mid air, outrun fleeing villains, dodge everything. That is not as simple as it sounds though. If I am by definition a hero, I am compelled to save and help everyone I can. How would I possibly decide who to help? Nine guys have been shot and one more raped since I started writing this. How could I possibly get to them all and all the kids falling out of trees and spiders who are going to be crushed just because they are creepy? Everyone needs saving sometime and that means I'm going to be like Santa hauling ass around the world trying to get to them all. Only a god could save the whole world, so the knowledge that I could have saved someone but didn't because of my mortal limitations would drive me mad with depression. Which brings me to...
Mental resilience. The ability to not go crazy. To keep it together, accept my limitations and not let it get me down. This is an ability I hope to achieve in my real life.

For instance, control of every single cell, and how it operates. So, If I want to turn into a bird, I could. If I wanted to emit a certain pheromone, I could. If I wanted to shut down most of my metabolic processes, and go days without food, I could.
Oh, and power number 2 would be Hero-ic power over space and time.

For my second power, I'd want to be able to fly. Just because he seems like it would be so incredibly fun, and I wouldn't have to be afraid of heights anymore!

I was always attracted to the idea of healing power, since I was a kid - shamans, bush doctors, palm healers... I never doubted the reality of their powers. I'm talking about authentic practitioners here, no New Age stuff.
I'm also of exceptionally good health, and have been so throughout my life, so far (47) - never suffered a serious injury of any kind, nor fell seriously ill, and have never been hospitalized. Never got a vaccine, no pox marks on my shoulder, neither - a telltale sign of alien/ human hybrid, according to X-Files ;)
So, I guess, the healing power is kind of mine to claim, which brings us to part two: wisdom. How do you go about it? What do you do with it on this troubled planet?
In conclusion: I think I'll have to find some convincing answers to these and similar questions, before any such (healing) power can be expressed through me.

What 2 super-powers would you choose (if you got to) and why?
Practicality vs. Awesome-ness? Ultimate power vs. helpful around the house? Good vs. Evil or just for fun? The choice is yours, but you must explain...

Telekenisis and that power Hayden Christiansen had in the movie push. I would want telekenisis for the ability to never have to fight a person hand to hand just throw them with my mind and also I want to be able to get a beer from the fridge. The ability from push so I could save on airfare and travel the world in style.

I would want healing ability, but not anti-aging necessarily--perhaps the part of the healing ability would be the ability to choose whether and when to age or not. That way I could stay young as long as I wanted, but not outlive my kids--unless they inherited the ability, in which case I'd want to be immortal. And then I'd like the ability to be able to time travel, but to be able to be in my own body if it was observing. That way I could be three again, and both experience it but watch from a distance at once. Or watch my kids when they were tiny and really interact with them, but not make the same mistakes. The power to make people do what I want, for instance I walk into a bank and say "you want to give me one million dollars", and everyone is just instantly cool with it. That opens up an endless number of possibilities. The power to speak any language instantly. Otherwise the first power would be useless in too many countries.

I have spent 28 years pondering this question. I too would start with the time TiVo ability (pause, rewind, skip commercials) but it would have to be accompanied by a mental stability/dexterity power. I like this one A LOT. With Time Tivo, you could sleep as late as you wanted and still ge tto work on time!
I've thought about this one too - and to clarify, you don't HAVE to be a hero. Still, I doubt a guy like you would use your powers for the forces of evil. Maybe some mischeif...
Nice one man!

I would want to be able to stop time - where everyone else is frozen, but I can still move around. This may sound stupid - but I would want this power so that I could get more sleep! This is actually my first thought every morning when my alarm goes off at 5:00 a.m. For my second power, I'd want to be able to fly. Just because he seems like it would be so incredibly fun, and I wouldn't have to be afraid of heights anymore!
