Six degrees of separation: Brian san to Barack Obama

OK, according to the Six degrees of separation theory:

"..if a person is one step away from each person they know and two steps away from each person who is known by one of the people they know, then everyone is at most six steps away from any other person on Earth."

So please determine how I am connected to the President of the United States, Barack Obama.

Here's a hint: I will count people I interact with on Mahalo (say Jason Calacanis or Jeff Hoard) as people I "know".

The winner will be decided by speed of response along with the craziness of the connections.

P.S.
Jason definitely knows actor Kevin Pollak and bonus points for anyone who cleans up the Kevin Pollak Mahalo page.

Well no one's tried the Kevin Pollack route yet, so I figure I better step up!

And who can resist threading it all through Kevin Bacon?? I can't!

1. brian san <-- (Mahalo) --> Jason Calacanis

2. Jason Calacanis <-- (?) --> Kevin Pollack

3. Kevin Pollack <-- (A Few Good Men) --> Kevin Bacon

....(wait, am I playing the right game??)

4. Kevin Bacon <--"Sleepers"--> Robert DeNiro and Brad Pitt

5. Robert DeNiro <-- political supporter --> President Obama, AND
Brad Pitt <-- ninth cousin --> President Obama

Asker's Rating:
• Had to go with @gno mostly because of her Kevin appreciation level.
But I will not forget the other interesting connections I know have learned I have with the president, including my direct @morriss003 channel!
Thanks again!

Yes, I always enjoyed him when he visited the Bob&Tom show in Indianapolis.
He really is good at impressions and a pretty good actor as well.

By the way (and I'm also going to comment above, sorry to repeat), you should know that the "Kevin Pollack" page looks pretty homely, because it isn't the right page - spelling error.

You'll want the Kevin Pollak page instead, which I've gone ahead and brushed up a bit.

Note: The "Kevin Pollack" page should be deleted as a misspelling. The real Kevin Pollak page is up and running, and I just gave it a spiff. Looking pretty okay, I think.

I am pretty sure I have no african american ancestors (genetically), though i did discover 10 years ago, some russian ones who fled the country (shhhhhhhhhhhh)!

Don't worry @wdawe,
From they link she posted it appears she waved at him in her pajamas.
(In public with other people around when she was a kid)

If we go the "lame claim to fame" route, it opens up a whole new realm.

I have at least said hello to the following people:

In the world of racing:
Michael Schumacher
David Coulthard
Mario Andretti
Sebastian Vettel
Kosuke Matsura
Hideki Mutoh
Danica Patrick
Tony George

In Japan:
Empress Michiko of Japan
Hiroshi Komiyama, former president of the University of Tokyo

Mmm.... I could give you shorter connections, but you want crazy ones...

@brian san - @philipy (Mahalo)
@philipy - C (friends)
C - X (dated)
X - Nelson Mandela (grandchild / grandfather)
Nelson Mandela - HM Queen Elizabeth (visited with)
HM Queen Elizabeth - Barack Obama (visited with)

There you go... six degrees to Barack Obama, and the Queen of England and Nelson Mandela thrown in for free. :)

Seriously I probably know enough people in Chicago that there is some route like that. But I wouldn't know what it was.

I decided before checking your connection to Barack Obama, I would check mine. According to linkedin, I'm 3 degrees from Barack Obama and 3 degrees from Jason Calacanis. LinkedIn has a Brian San in the UK. I have no connections to Brian.

I did find Barack Obama and Jason Calacanis on Freebase, but I did not find Brian San. The persons Barack Obama and Jason Calacanis were not directly connected.

Over time the semantic web will link us all and popular search engines will be able to use friend of a friend(foaf) or similar data models to graph the connections for us.

I have not yet come up with an interesting answer to the original question.
