The "unpardonable sin" is to speak badly of the Holy Spirit maybe better described as blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
~quote from Mark 3:22-30
"But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin."
~endquote
This sin is also described in Matthew 12:12-32

~~edit @jillbeth I can see more clearly now after reading a lot more about this sin. It seems that there are arguments that even the unpardonable sin is pardonable if one were to follow the Gospel. After reading again about this specifically I realized quickly that this issue is one of personal faith and personal belief. I could find nothing but opinion on personal interpretations of scripture.
However the closest thing to a neutral point of view I found was this site that might I think you might find the objectivity and context that you will need to make this decision about the unpardonable for yourself. I would recommend this to anyone seeking this information.

In reference to Christian belief, what is the "unpardonable sin?"
I've heard many people speak of the unpardonable sin, and have heard many points of view about what it actually is. I believe there are many misconceptions, because everyone can't be right! Please help me to understand this better.
