Optimum Arousal Theory refers to the performance of athletes level of arousal.

It shows that the Optimal Arousal is a balance between Excitement and Relaxation and between Boredom and Anxiety, between Under- and Overstimulation: here is the Optimum Stress Zone - Quality, Creativity, Flexibility.
