I would absolutely.

I have hired a housekeeper before and the price was 60/week for some light housekeeping one day a week. This led me to stop the service after 6 weeks as I was able to keep up on those issues myself with little effort.

Half that price would be great so if for the year at $60/week would be $3120 then a price of $1500 dollars would be a great price for the robot. The way I see it if the robot could do what my housekeeper was doing for half the price that would be fantastic and after the first year the cleaning and housekeeping would be basically free.

I'm sure a robot of this quality would be more expensive than that but $1500 sounds like a reasonable price to me for a housekeeping robot.

I have never hired a housekeeper or cleaner. If such a robot existed - I'd want it to do just a few simple things - vacuum and sweep, dust, laundry (must be able to fold and put away!) - that's all - if a dinner or two could be ready each week that would be super. I'm assuming battery or electrical power and perhaps yearly maintenance but very low requirements for repair on this 'robot'.

I'd pay 3,000.00 and want a guarantee that it would last for at least 5-8 years.

Do I ask too much?

I dont think they should be for purchase. I think they should be leased or rented. Because new ones will come out and the old ones will need upgrades. I would pay up to 500.00 per month on one. But probebly not more since we dont have to have one but it sure would be nice.

I think I would, especially if I could supervise it until I felt comfortable enough to leave it on alone in the house. I would think leasing it would be better than buying it, because it would need a lot of maintenance that many people don't have the experience with. Something along the lines as $300 - 400 a month for a 5 year lease.

I have hired housekeepers before and also had to watch them for the first few months to make sure they are trustworthy too.

I would, because time I spend doing housekeeping chores takes away from stuff I could be doing that's more fun *and* which makes money.

The price I'd pay to rent or lease-to-own a device like that would be based upon how much more I'd be able to make if not distracted by the chores they can take care of.

I used to hire housekeepers, but the quality of their work went down while the prices they charge went up to a point where it stopped having any benefit.

I would NOT buy a sophisticated robot maid or butler. The world has become, in my opinion, far too lazy as it is. The Internet is replacing a trip to the library, remotes have made the LOOOONG walk across the floor to change the TV channel a thing of the past, and now they are coming out with a cap you can wear (coupled with a few invasive electrodes) to play video games with your EYES alone.

No, it’s time that folks started to move around again, and get the ole blood flowing. Take a walk, throw a ball around, go for a ride on the beach. :)
