Hail probably depends on the region in which you live. I live in Kansas so hail, thunderstorms and the occasional tornado are quite common in the spring/summer time. Actually, just two days ago we got hail when a large thunderstorm moved through. The majority of this hail is small and wouldn't damage much - but every once in a while you get stories of hail the size of quarters and golf balls.
