You can't get more karma and there is no "max". It's a law, not something "tangible." It's like saying "How do stop signs work? And how do I get more?" It just doesn't make sense.

In fact, the main point of the karma doctrine is to get rid of ALL and ANY karma - that's the only way towards liberation from earthbound existence which is seen as bad and imperfect in principle.
For example, Hinduism teaches about Turiya, or pure consciousness. This state of mind is characterized by a complete detachment, i.e. the mind does not engage in thinking, judging, etc... but just observes the thoughts utterly unmoved by any of it. This particular attitude creates no karma, and brings one closer to liberation from otherwise infinite cycles of life, death and re-birth.

The common way to look at karma: The energy you send out, you get back... tenfold. I also see it as the Law of Attraction (or, by the recent popular book: The Secret) You can't get more karma and there is no "max". It's a law, not something "tangible." It's like saying "How do stop signs work? And how do I get more?" It just doesn't make sense.

Karma can be a good karma, or a bad karma, so, you may not necessarily want more of it. In fact, the main point of the karma doctrine is to get rid of ALL and ANY karma - that's the only way towards liberation from earthbound existence which is seen as bad and imperfect in principle.
