Cockiness is a trait of some pathological liars. Here it is difficult sometimes. Be careful of anyone who promises you everything you need. Tell them, "you need to look into it and get back with them." If they pressure you regarding limited time, back off, this is an appeal to your fear.

Back in the old days, in Sumer, the first modern civilization on earth in Mesopotamia, it was easy to tell liars if they lied in court, they had their tongues cut out - Code of Hammurabi. So they couldn't lie anymore..... But in modern times, things are much more difficult.
