Try to befriend the girl. If you're already friends, then try to get closer to her. When she's comfortable sharing stuffs with you, then you could ask her in a funny way if she's interested in you. You may ask why you have to ask her in a 'funny' way. It's because just in case she doesn't like you that much, at least your friendship will not be wasted if you got a little serious asking her about some personal things.

I think that's what you need. You have to be friends first. Striking a great conversation is good start. Try to search for something she's interested and talk about that! You could be good friends right away if you have the same interest in live.

Girls enjoy compliments too. Say nice things to her about how she looks, or maybe how she look great wearing the dress she have today.

That's all... then when you're friends, always put your best foot forward but still, be yourself! :)
