Yes my voice changes when I talked about certain topics.

1. Whenever I talk about something I am passionate about like music I get a big goofy smile on my face and my voice sound very excited animated. This is the most common reason people change their voice; because they are excited.

2. People also change their voice to try to appeal to certain people such as children. Sometimes it sounds more scary and appealing. In this link this guy is doing just that. But his voice cracks and it's more hilarious than anything. I'm not one to make fun of people. But this is a PRIME example of someone changing their voice.

My voice changes a lot depending on who I am talking to, the mood I am in, the surrounding environment, and whether I feel relaxed or nervous.

The people I am with is the biggest influence on my voice. When I am with my parents, I often revert to my childlike voice. When I'm with friends, I have more of an adult voice.

I'm not sure of the psychology behind this. It may be that speech patterns form in your mind in different contexts, and these unconsciously become associated with different people.

Thank you for a great question.

When I am attracted to a person, I find myself using the 'sexy' voice.
I have had vocal training, so you'd think I would have better control over the sound of my voice.

While I worked as a trainer for a large customer service department where the day revolves around talking on the phone, I have been accused of sounding too sexy on the phone.

So I guess when I'm feeling attracted to someone or just happy, I tend to use a lower, softer, sexier tone.

Psychologically this could mean that I have let my guard down since I feel comfortable talking to that particular person.

My voice changes to a more deep confident whatchamacallit - pitch or tone, when I am talking about a passionate subject and also in the afternoons.

When I am upset or tired, it becomes soft low voice.

All these happen involunterily and I dont have any training. is there any online page that explains this? is there any scientific study related to this?

After I posted this question, I found this page

and also found this interesting youtube about vocal cord.

okay... this is the only "bunny" picture I could think that covers how my voice sounds when I'm "happy".
Jessica "Rabbit". Kathleen Turner and I pretty much corner the market.

Yes, I change my voice, when I'm trying to sound more 'professional', or when I am trying to make a good impression with someone, I tend to change it, to be 'laid back' or calm, to try to make it seem like I'm not nervous.

When I am talking to little kids, I tend to change my voice into being more playful, gentle, and warming, so they know not to be scared of me.

Other times, I tend to change it according to my mood. If I'm mad, it's normally deeper and serious.
When I'm happy, it's higher pitched, generally when I am out with friends.
When I'm sad, it's calm, deep, and I drag my words a long, kind of like I'm slurring my words together, but not.

i also experienced this because whenever i m talking with my friend that time my voice come as per my nature but when i m talking with my boss that time its come very diff i cant express that
lots of fear in that
i think it happened because of the emotion means like respect attached with that persons. and other thing that what we think about them its also effect on your voice whenever v talk with them
