Although it's not too relevant, it could be noted that Sasha is a common doll's name, usually dark skinned. Malia is not though.

No. Dolls inspired by the President (and I think his family counts) have been around since Teddy Roosevelt. That's where the Teddy Bear came from. I hope the new dolls are popular, they are cute and positive. Other White House kids have had dolls made too.Although it's not too relevant, it could be noted that Sasha is a common doll's name, usually dark skinned. Malia is not though.
