The influence in twitter list for friends or somebody who interested in your topic
of your list. More influence to do it marketing for yourself and company.

Twitter can make everyday message to anyone just read your list. Now influence in the
list make you popular.

But if you just make to much message. Them become irrelevant. All your friends
will not read and ignore it.

Someone will know you just from twitter list. But them just read about information you
give and not your influence. They will ignore your message if you cannot give
influence from your information.

Better you think about where your friends come from. If them is real friend that
will more influence rather than somebody who is not know you.

You can make more influence if message and people is correct.

I don't think so, as just because you are on more lists does not mean your influence is positive. You can be on the bad guy list, or the list that nobody cares to follow. I think the true measure of influence is not being on a list on Twitter per se, but being influential in real life. If you are on someone's bad list, does that make you influential? I don't think that's the only indicator of influence. It's just like more followers does not mean you have more of an influence, as all of those followers may not be listening to any of your tweets. The real measure of influence would be how man RT you get after tweeting something that is breaking news or important to your followers. If you ask them to RT something, and they do this, then you have an influence on those who were following you! The real measure of influence would also be, if you lost all of your followers, then would they all come back if they knew you lost them all, would they care to do something about it, or would your influence mean nothing. Would you still be on lists if you lost all of your followers? It also matters most what list you are on!

It depends on whose list you are in. If you are in John Chow's list for example, I'll say that you are or could be influential:)

The thing about the Twitter list I believe is to be able to organize your followers better. For example, I have more than 22K followers and it is obviously difficult to keep track of all of them. I like to interact with people who interact with me. I also like to constantly see what "certain" people are saying and for that matter I created several lists to be able to see their tweets more easily. They are categorized as Marketers, SEOs, Technology, etc. Does that make them influential? Maybe, maybe not, but the idea is for me to track my friends more closely and not to tell the world that they are influential. As a matter of fact, you can set your list to be private and that defeats the purpose that whomever being on that list being influential. that's my take.

Twitter is a very important social networking tool, when it comes to promoting and influencing people it is of course good to have many followers, and be on a lot of lists. However it can work just as well for you if you don't have a bunch of followers and lists because some of your followers do and will RT the things that interest and influence them. Being on a lot of lists and even being RT'd isn't going to help unless people are actually looking into the items you tweet.
