Do you support the veterans who enlisted in wars you don't believe in?

In response to another question that is tipping veterans this really got me thinking, Lots of people go around talking about how they "don't support the war but they support the veterans, they were just doing their duty". If a Veteran voluntarily enlisted for a war that you didn't believe in (such as Iraq or Afghanistan) do you still support them? Do you support veterans who signed up for the Iraq war after we knew they were not making nuclear weapons (the whole reason we were supposed to be there in the first place) Why is it such a taboo to say I support veterans of wars that were legitimate.

I support veterans who were enlisted no matter what war it has been or will be in the future, these people risk their lives and families , it causes worry and some of these people survive and others don't, but those who live through it I support them because they fought with everything they are to try and keep us safe and a free country.

I must not agree with you http://www.mahalo.com/member/promiscuous24.
But http://www.mahalo.com/member/tboz I will answer your question step by step.

First step. What happened in Afganistan and Iraq...was a guerrilla war. That I can't accept. We have 3 or 4 USA bases in Romania...What happened on 11 September is unforgivable. No matter if you are American or Japanese or Romanian ( like myself) .The USA response was way too much...Please remember this...in this so called anti-terrorist war...many Italians, English, Spanish, Irish, even Romanian died... That war continues...on and on...we receive coffins every day....

What I respect...It's the vets that died in WW2. My grandfather died in that war. My country murdered 320,000 Jews. Don't get me wrong....It is unforgivable!!!

What you have to understand from this...is that no matter how big the war it is...innocent people will die...that is the biggest mistake humanity has made..WAR!

From August 1944 till May 1945 we lost 538,000 soldiers. We also lost a big part of our country. But we never...and I mean NEVER lost our independence. My small country...cuz it's really small...we were the barrier between Germany and the Allies ( Great Britain, USA and Russia).Without us...there will be no France, Austria, Italy etc....

And I tell you one thing I know from may grandfather...at that time...it was not a question..."Wanna join the war or not?" It was : " Go to war!"
We burned our fields and poisoned our wells, we killed our own sheeps and cows, we lived in the mountains, but NEVER LOST OUR INDEPENDENCE !

A small country from Europe...

And for that, yes, I respect my veterans! I owe them my free life!

While it's questionable whether or not we should be a presence in the Middle East, our men and women serving there know they may sacrifice their lives in service to our country.

Even those who enlist during peace time don't know what tomorrow may bring. I have to respect and support any man or woman who is willing to risk that sacrifice to serve their country, even if I don't agree with their point of view or reason for enlisting.

They enlist in the Armed Forces not a particular War. Whatever the War may occur they must go or become a conscientious objector. So I support the warriors even if I disagree about the war.
