Can a person have more than 1 arch-nemesis?

I think that, because the use of "arch" implies that this is your WORST nemesis, you can only have one. But I'm not sure if this is how the term is actually used, or if people (particularly superheroes) can have multiple arch-nemeses.

Arch Nemesis, defined is The principal enemy of a character in a work of fiction. Therefore only one. Multiple Nemeses (yes, that is the plural) are possible, as they are simply an opponent that cannot be beaten or overcome.

But trust in Dr. Horrible.

From Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog:

"Dr. Horrible:
We have... OH! Here’s one from our good friend Johnny Snow. “Dr. Horrible. I see you are once again afraid to do battle with your nemesis. I waited at Dooley Park for 45 minutes.”
Dr. Horrible:
Ok, DUDE you’re NOT my nemesis. My nemesis is Captain Hammer. Captain Hammer, Corporate TOOL. He dislocated my shoulder… Again… last week."

Yes, all the time this happens in the NBA and professional sports in general. Take the superstar basketball player Lebron James for example. One day Lebron James has an arch nemesis as one player named Dwyane Wade, the next game it's another player Hedo Turkoglu, and the next game his arch nemesis is Kobe Bryant, and another game it will be or Carmelo Anthony. It all depends on where the team is playing, and who the Cavs are up against. The arch nemesis depends on one thing, and that's location!

Absolutely they can. Remember when there's more than one, they're called arch-nemesii.
