Take a look at National Geographic's Genographic Project. The kits test mitochondrial DNA and will tell you what continent your ancestors originated from. https://genographic.nationalgeographic.com/genographic/index.html

The genealogy DNA services perform almost the same tests, the deciding factor will likely be the site which charges the least.

As for the best genealogy site, this is dependant upon your ancestry and the type of records you are looking for. Different sites have different records. The site which has the most records be Ancestry.

I have used the DNA testing kit from Ancestry for both my paternal and maternal tests. The results came very quickly, but to be honest, the this particular niche of the industry has a long way to go, but only because they need more people to participate. Right now, Ancestry has a 40% off sale on their DNA tests.
