I'd choose unlimited luck.
Of course it would be nice if you have unlimited skills but sometimes, skills aren't really judged fairly. I know a lot of people who have great skills but couldn't reach further in life because there are lots of other people who have great skills as well. So if you're competing with great people, skills won't just be enough, right? You have to be lucky too. ^^
With unlimited luck, I can be a better person in my field. Though I'm not the greatest one out there, though I'm not as skillful as others can be, I can always try to improve myself and study harder to at least be close to perfect. If I wanted to have a great skill, all I have to do is work hard on something. All I have to do is be patient and persevere to reach my goal.
But without luck? You can't really do anything to improve your luck. That's why it's called 'luck'. You just got lucky.

I would hate to choose between these two since I believe people have a mixture of both of these in their lives.
For an example, I think that in order to do well here on Mahalo, you need to have some skills. Just having luck would not help to create great answers and pages.
But, at the same time I know that I am lucky for meeting you and plenty of others on this site!
However, if I had to choose between the two, I would pick skills. Having an unlimited amount of skills would naturally bring me loads of luck and great opportunities no matter where I would go.
*having unlimited skills... I would be able to be in this video!

Plus more can be accomplished with skill than luck. It's more directed, with skill I know what I'm going to do and how it will turn out, while luck, well it's the just the draw.

Skills, knowledge and such will always be there for us to learn and pick up on our own time.
Luck, if we don't have it; we might not be able to meet people who can help developing the skills.
Perhaps I find the fun in challenge to develop skills; but rely on luck for almost everything else in life.

You don't need unlimited skill, even 1 skill, when polished correctly, can bring you to success. But you do need a lot of luck. That's what I'm learning from my father's life.

It is not lucky for one to start a small business that is suddenly purchased for millions of dollars.
I do however believe in coincidence. It's coincidental that someone picks the correct lottery numbers to win millions of dollars.
Unlimited skill is my choice on this one. Not because I would necessarily want to be perfect at everything, but because if I had more skill, I could make more luck.

Every time something great/lucky happened it would be like a daily surprise.
My friend is extremely lucky, every time something bad happens it turns around for him. And he's not very skilled.
I am very skilled, but my luck is horrible. I definitely wouldn't say luck comes from skill. Skill alone, when executed will create positive results. Thats not luck.

As I have neither unlimited skill or luck, I suspect neither will happen...

Good luck, bad luck, who knows? There are things that happens to us that seems like good luck, but at the end, it does not do us much good. There are also things that seems to happen to us that is bad luck, but at the end it turns into good.
Whether things that happens to us is cause by an 'unlimited luck" or not, really depends on how you look at it and profit from it. Thus, having unlimited skill would just also mean having unlimited luck because the skills that we have will help us turn the seeming "bad luck" into good luck!

If I had unlimited skill I would have to plan all my successes and that would be a lot of work.
If I had unlimited luck my successes would just be automatic and the only work I would have to do would be to explain myself to the awestruck masses that would most certainly stalk me paparazzi style as I seemingly for no reason just win every competition I enter or succeed without explanation at every impossible task I attempt.
"Hey Budda.. how did you survive the fall from that aircraft?" me "I dunno.. lucky?" ... Hey Budda ..."about that night at Hefs....?" me "I'm just lucky I guess."

Luck is what you made it, we never know the unlimited luck if and when it will come so one must use the unlimited skill to become lucky, we cannot sit around waiting for "luck to knock on our door".
But when luck comes, open the door at once, sometimes there's no second chances, so move from that couch.

Wow, if I absolutely, positively, had to pick I would pick unlimited skill because it would afford me a chance to feel as if I'd accomplished something. But I really wouldn't want to have either one; to me, life without challenges sounds like it would be boring.

Unlimited skill, I;m already unusually lucky to begin with, but with unlimited skill why would you need luck? Plus more can be accomplished with skill than luck. It's more directed, with skill I know what I'm going to do and how it will turn out, while luck, well it's the just the draw.

I'd have to say unlimited luck. Contrary to most people's thoughts, I find that skills are almost unlimited so far. All we need is luck! Skills, knowledge and such will always be there for us to learn and pick up on our own time.
Luck, if we don't have it; we might not be able to meet people who can help developing the skills.
Perhaps I find the fun in challenge to develop skills; but rely on luck for almost everything else in life.

My father has many skills. he is an excellent carpenter, marketer, idealist, and very smart. Unfortunately he doesn't have a lot of luck and he's having huge debt without any hope of ever paying it. He is 60 and still have to work 7 days a week if he wants to keep his company running. You don't need unlimited skill, even 1 skill, when polished correctly, can bring you to success. But you do need a lot of luck. That's what I'm learning from my father's life.

I don't believe in luck. I believe that we make our own luck. It is not lucky for one to start a small business that is suddenly purchased for millions of dollars.

I would rather have unlimited skill rather than unlimited luck in my life because having unlimited skill gives me a lot of "luck" in my life. I believe that i created my own "luck" in my life. Thus, having unlimited skill, I am creating all the "lucks" in my life. Good luck, bad luck, who knows? There are things that happens to us that seems like good luck, but at the end, it does not do us much good. There are also things that seems to happen to us that is bad luck, but at the end it turns into good.

That's so awesome man! Hilarious! And I'm totally with you btw. I think unlimited luck would be MUCH more interesting (as I love surprises) - like, "Tra-la-la, oh hello! What's this? A money bag full of $1,000 bills with no strings attached? Thank you! Oh, and I have a date tonight with Giselle Bunchen as she just broke up with Tom Brady. How very lucky indeed!"

It got to be unlimited skill that I want , imagine what you can do with it, if you have it. If you have unlimited skill means you can do good because you are expert in a lot of things, you are lucky in itself because nobody has unlimited skill, you can an expert in one or two things but not in everything. Luck is what you made it, we never know the unlimited luck if and when it will come so one must use the unlimited skill to become lucky, we cannot sit around waiting for "luck to knock on our door".
But when luck comes, open the door at once, sometimes there's no second chances, so move from that couch.
