Well Russia alone cannot impose sanctions against Iran. It can withdraw the current trades in between both countries.

To impose sanctions all the Vito countries should agree to Vito.

Iran is a very major oil producing country with a strong support of its masses. It is a sovereign country on whose oil alot of countries depend.

In my opinion, Russia won't be putting sanctions.
