Russia is located in nothern Asia bordering the artic Ocean. Most of Russia is thundra, it is to dry and cold to produce and maintain proper agriculture practices. The reason for this is that the soil and the climate is not conducive to sustainable agriculture. The economy and society also plays a significant part with regards to the hunger and poverty problems in Russia. As stated if the economy is not functioning and performing the way it should it cannot benefit the society(i.e people). Negative impacts of a fail economy would have affects on the country standard currency, food shortages and workers would not get pay for their labor. Military conflicts are also causes of hunger

It is estimated that forty million people live below the poverty line and their cost of living is thirty dollars a day.
