That depends on what part of the world you come from.
If you're Chinese. than you think it's the center of the world, and everyone else are other-ousiders.
If you're North American, then you think it's a good place to hire for manufacture of cheap goods, although wise North Americans are starting to regret that decision, but in all cases, North Americans are concerned and confused and made nervous by Chinese citizen's compliance to authoritarian government.
If you're an African, it's a place from which comes good investment for creation of jobs in Africa in exchange for African resources, because China will not wag fingers at authoritarian African governments.
If you're Indian or Russian, it's a threat, to be watched with a wary eye.
If you're Australian or New Zealander, it's a good place to sell honey, pork, and lamb.
If you're European, it's a place with interesting art.
And if you're South American, it's a place so foriegn that it might as well be on Mars.

1. I have an elaborate opinion of the chinese government. They are bad, as they are fake "Communists". They have a capitalist economy that is destroying the environment there, and the "communist" government there is a sham, its a Capitalist Dictatorship with a red flag. Mao is tossing in his mausoleum, and so is Lenin in his. If your going to be socalist, DO IT RIGHT! However, I do like the Chinese people, who have invented so much back in the ancient china.

Without China to borrow so much money from, the US would be screwed. The have a mixed capitalist/socialist economy. The capitalist part is new and since there market has been going up they should just abandon the socialist part. They've been a poor, starving country for so long, its about time they allowed people to make some money. They seriously limit freedom of speech which is awful. They got google to censor porn, they stopped twitter. Of course, the chinese gov thinks they've done this, but like the people in Iran have shown, theres always a workaround. Hong Kong has always had a strong market, because they allow free markets. In short, I have empathy for a country with a dictator, and wish they would revolt. Chairman Mao should be knocked out of power by the people immediately.
