Three things:

I have to have a walk/run early. I have more energy all day when I do this, and an easier time sleeping at night.

And I have to have some quiet time right after I wake up, so I wake up before anyone else in my house. I spend this time thinking, talking to God (off and on--not awake enough for a sustained conversation), listening to a little quiet music.

Then I have to have my protein breakfast; otherwise I get more hungry throughout the day.

Other things: I bounce back and forth between a number of things throughout the day, but I try to do a lot of my productive work in the morning, and help my kids get their productive work done then too. Then I have the afternoons free for fun either at home or not.
