From Calcutta he was provided sashes with gold thread pearls and huge jewels.
since Calcutta was such a huge trade port spices from all over could be introduced. I only found reference to spices. I know that they had mustards and curry and spices as they have today.

Khubla Khan had been a great trader of peppers and Ginger, but there was some trouble with the Chinese and the Bahrami traders and that slowed the actual trading of the ginger either during or right after Zhenh He's trading trips.
