Chippewa (US) , ojibwe (ojibwe) are two names of same indian tribe in two different locations .
These people live in groups. ( known as BANDS) with a sedentary lifestyle . each band having its own reserve .Each band is politically independent of others , having its own government , laws and policies Political leader of this community is called a GIMAA .
Ojibwe bury their dead in a burial mount , and many erect a jiibegamig ( spirit house) on it .
they viewed world in two genders : animate , inanimate . rather than usual male and female .

When did the ojibwe change their name to Chippewa?

Give an example of animate verse inanimate in Chippewa belief system.

Is the spirit house composed of logs and does the spirit house have bench which the person is seated?

Are the Bands united under one large governing body?
