Due to the economy, I had to be frugal.
So I use my Toothpaste Ringer:

and then to make sure I have every little bit, I cut the tube and use the brush to get it all:

Then with the empty tube I make art:

The research was so indepth, the results even showed how many people first applied toothpaste on their brushes before putting it under running water, as compared to the number of people who would first rinse it and then apply the toothpaste!
Personally, I'm an OCD guy, so I'm very careful how I squeeze the paste out of its tube. It'll always be neatly rolled up... suffice to say that you will never find a rumpled, creased, or even slightly bent toothpaste tube on my sink :)
But even I wouldn't go so far as this:

How do you squeeze your toothpaste?
Do you think there is any morsel of truth to the "toothpaste personality test"?

I'm 'Impulsive' when I'm putting the product on my toothbrush but then I switch to 'Thrifty...' by smoothing out the tube as I return it to the drawer - maybe we need more categories or maybe I'm just complicated or something else or maybe I should just stop typing now before I say too much...

I use technology.. There is a small plastic device I use, and it clamps on to the end of the tube. AS you squeeze it, it evenly flattens out the tube so you can maximize the amount of paste you are getting out of each tube. Not sure what personality I am for this, but you will need to create a new one. ; )

Yes, there's truth in this. I remember when I was in an advertising agency, there was a survey done, which gave basically the same results as shown in your question. The research was so indepth, the results even showed how many people first applied toothpaste on their brushes before putting it under running water, as compared to the number of people who would first rinse it and then apply the toothpaste!
