Does Pro-life apply to only human beings?

If it applies to human life only, what about other living beings?

You can tell that pro-life only applies to humans in the minds of most by comparing two figures:

46-52% of Americans are pro-life.
4% of Americans are vegetarian.

Heck, they're not even pro-life for humans, they're just anti-abortion. 72% of people that call themselves pro-life are also pro-death penalty.

Well that does not mean anything. I think it is sad when animals are killed, like a family taking there pet to get rid of the baby puppies that the mommy dog has not had yet. I am pro-puppy, pro-kitty, pro-animal life, but I also eat meat.

I agree that many self-proclaimed "pro-life" people are just anti-abortion and don't even support free health care for CHILDREN!

Although I am an animal lover, I think that if an animal is being killed to eat, it is okay (perhaps even natural). But no animals should die for human recreation, clothes, etc.

Yes, that's the main reason this question. Life is a Life is a life. It seems other lives not valuable or not a life at all.

As the phrase is used in practice, yes. Most of the pro life sites on google relate to abortion. The Wikipedia article below mentions euthanasia, the death penalty, and stem cell research. All of these involve humans, at least as the arguments go.

Pro life does result in human beings only. I wish it did result for animals but guess not. I am very strongly against abortion and animal cruelty.
