Ashura/Ghadr-110A is Iran’s most advanced solid propellant ballistic missile to date. Ashura means "tenth of Muharram" a kind of bloody martyrdom celebration.
Yes, Iran has today middle to long range missile capability, with the Ahura missiles ranging in excess of more than 3.000 kms, the farthest in Iran's arsenal. Iran´s missiles are being made in line with Iran's deterrent and defence doctrine and has become a second strike capable country, able to reach targets in most of the Middle East countries as far as India in the east, or Greece in the west.
For all accounts this is not another bluff, but a dedicated missile program to acquire intercontinental capability that is threatening its arch-enemy, Israel, right now and for the first time, other countries in other continents like Turkey in Europe, or Egypt in Africa.
Recently Iran demonstrated a three stage solid propellant Ashura/Ghadr-110A rocket with 2.000 - 3.000 km range. It is now being schedule for deployment after completing development to replace the liquid propellant Shahab-3B, 3C/Ghadr-1 currently in their inventory. The Shahab-3B, 3C/Ghadr-1 has a 2.000 km maximum range.
