Does anyone know the difference between loving someone and actually being in love with someone?

There are all types of people we love. Family, certain friends, children. To me that is the type of love that includes all genders, ages, races, etc. You love a
person for who they are. To be in love is in my opinion a totally different matter. I dated a man for 6 mos and I loved him. He was kind, funny, considerate and honest. But I was not IN LOVE with him. Now we are just
the best of friends. When I fall in love with a man, he is all I can think about.
I want only the best for him, I want him happy. He makes my heart thump
just when I see him. My eyes totally light up when talking about him or to him.
My heart totally belongs to him and can not wait until we see each other again. Good Luck

I think loving someone means that you care deeply for them and you only want what is best for them. Being in love with someone is a deeper emotional connection with someone that makes it impossible to be without that person. It feels like you've known that person forever. It's a spark between two people.
