Does a Chief have limits to his authority and what he can do or request?
No the chief do not have limits to his authority the people of the chiefdom see the chief and family as divine beings and the chief had the power of life and death over every one in the chiefdom.
What are the limits on a Chief in a chiefdom?
From an intense research on the topic i have not come across any site that state there is a limit.

Chiefs seem to be self-governing. Where do Chiefs learn the rules of governing the tribe?
