As an American, looking at it from this side of the Pond, Tony Blair was far better. He had a more effective personal presence and a powerful image in the world outside England. He was someone we could forgive easily, and who had no choice but to deal with Bush.

If only he could have been in power when Obama was available, he would have done so much more for your country and the world outside Britain.

As likeable a chap as he was (and probably still is) he did have the choice about HOW he dealt with George Bush. Instead of lending his credibility and rubber stamping Georges' decisions he had the rare opportunity to stand up for what was right, and he blew it.

Gordan brown has messed evrything up, no-one likes him, he promised a general election, then didnt, tony blair wasnt great but at least he better that brown
