Are you a stalagmite or a stalagtite and why?

A friend of mine asked me this question and I thought you might give it a shot too! Think about it and think about what kind of person you are...
I thought it was a thought provoking question. Then again, I was a little tipsy at the time...

I think I would be a stalagmite. I am always reaching for a higher goal. I am always trying to go further than before. With a stalagmite reaching to the ceiling, it is like it is trying to climb higher. That is what I thought when I read your question

I, too, am a stalagmite, but for a different reason. Having something happen in your life to completely knock you all the way down, only to have to rebuild your life again makes perfect sense. This is a "from the ground up" way of looking at it.

We all have things that knock us down from time to time, but the life changers are the one's that get us to rise up above everything else, and have one more go. Once we are strong again, our "column" is as strong as ever!

See, those are all inspirational reasons. I immediately went stalagmite because I'm tall and am likely to bump into low hanging ceilings whether I mean to or not! So there's a silly/pragmatic answer for you to balance things out.
