What is the best way to get thousands of followers

It is getting quality content and breaking news to share in a timely manner. Also using the right twitter tools will enhance following. Open to any other suggestions and how to implement them.

I would post away and promote the heck out of what are you are trying to get out.

If you do not have a hompage link in your info section, maybe you could post your facebook URL there that you are trying to promote and a few more people could find out about it that way.

You also could try using twitter and letting everyone know with some text followed by a tiny url so you can maximize the publicity. Good luck!
