Has anyone else ever noticed a large number of men sitting in parked cars alone in forest preserve parking lots?

We have been biking the forest preserve trails lately and every area we park in, there are several men, alone in their cars (which btw are all backed into stalls) just sitting there. For hours. What are they doing there? Is there some "thing" that I am just unaware of? I can imagine that there may be some unseemly things going on, but I am continually shocked at the number of them in every park we go to. We are outside of Chicago, in the suburbs if this helps.

Contact your county's parks and recreation department in your local government. Report the situation and express your concern, ask if they know anything about it. There could be a reasonable explanation, but, this sounds odd, and I commend you for looking into your environment and safety.

http://www.chicagoparkdistrict.com/ Here's the Chicago department, but you should also contact your county one too if there is one. Good luck

I've seen it here in NH too, seems public parks and rest areas seem to have become pick up spots, similar to the bathroom Sen. Larry Craig was caught in.

I dont know about Chicagoland but here in southern California there are lot of people that cannot afford rent but can make a car payment and there quite a few people that live in vehicles here, what they do is keep most of their stuff in storage and a few things in the car and then go to the gym in the morning and then off to work.
