yes arsenal needs another striker that would be skillful and strong as the Togolese. the main reason is that this year English league will be very competitive and harsh. teams that will be giving Arsenal competition such as Manchester United,Chelsea,Liverpool,Ashton Villa and Tottenham Hotspurs will all be vying to dethroned reigning champions Manchester United. although they are currently third in the league(2009-08-26) playing only two games and scoring 10 goals the manager Arsene Wegner know for him to win the league he must have cable strikers to make this happen. he also have to take other factors into consideration which would determine the fate of Arsenal seaso(eg injuries, strong bench, having competent players to replace other on international duty etc).
only one player i would recommend to replace the Togolese would be the Argentine striker who plays for Athletico Madrid currently one of the top scorers for his club he has the poise, head and skills to give any club the opportunity to win the league and being only 22 years of age this young forward will be well worth the money. as the market get more unstable due to the high prices of players (exorbitant sale of KAKA,CHRISTIANO RONALDO ETC TO REAL MADRID) it would be wise to invest in a young strong, positive, talented and experienced forward.

I don't think the needed to sign anyone. Arsenal always puts faith in the Academy players and this year will be no different. They have Eduardo back after his broken leg, and they are finally playing with a formation that fits the talent in their squad (4-3-3).
