or a new shuffle?

But after the liveblog I would have to say the 8GB iPod Nano is the winner for me. It offers a smaller, easier to carry device for my music and now that it has a video camera and nice widescreen, I will have a device I can whip out quick for a photo opportunity or so I can record something anytime, anywhere. A speaker and microphone too, very nice! The Nike+ feature is nice as is the voice recorder as well. And an FM radio built-in the iPod!? FINALLY!!!

M$Quoting the link: "The camera is oddly placed on the bottom of the device where your fingers would tend to be."
Have you noticed this problem yourself when filming? Check this mahalo page out and tell me what you think.

If I had t pick it would defiantly be the Touch 64 gig (faster os, and its touch screen, which I love then having to push buttons)

M$well I meant that I would buy a Iphone and use it as both the ipod and phone.
Unless you want to use the phone feature in the near future I would recommend you get the iPod Touch 3rd Generation they just announced today. It isn't worth the extra $300-400 to get an unlocked iPhone 3GS when this new iTouch 3rd Gen released today now has the equivalent functionality (like Open GL 2.0) and comparable capacity.
If you have no interest in the phone feature, do not buy a locked or unlocked iPhone 3GS. You will pay way too much just to have an available feature that you will never utilize.
IMPORTANT - Only the 32GB and 64GB iPod Touches released today have the new processor which is 50% faster (Equivalent to iPhone 3GS speed)! The 8GB version is equivalent to the iPhone 3G (iTouch 2nd generation speed).
Fair enough, that's fine then. I was more just writing a warning to those who are actually contemplating getting the phone with no intention of using the service.
Just a reminder you can only use AT&T or T-Mobile in the US. I don't know if you might be international or not but if you are, GOOD. You have a lot more choice.
