So guys, what are some awesome moments or places in history?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

There are three I can think of; coincidentally all three are landings or arrivals on new or unexplored places that changed the history of human kind.

1) Christopher Columbus (Christoforo Colombo) Landing at Guanahani Island in what is today Bahamas, in October 12, 1492. America, the new world was discovered.

2) The Allies Landing in Normandy during World War II, in June 6, 1944. The largest invasion in history starts the beginning of the end for Nazi Germany and the culmination of the war.

3) The Man Land in the Moon, Neil Armstrong became the first man to walk on the surface of the moon, July 20, 1969.
