So Frank Herbert fans out there, favorite book? I like Dune 1

While the original Dune novel is still the very best in the series in my opinion, if you were to ask me what my favorite of the other novels is, I would probably say God Emperor of Dune - the 4th novel in the series. Even though it picks up thousands of years after the original trilogy of books, I found that I became really engrossed in Leto II's transformation from man into the God Emperor. Rather than the continuation of the story, God Emperor almost feels like the first book in another series which - although it contains some of the characters of the original (Duncan, Leto II, the sisterhood), it feels new and fresh at the same time.

P.S. I would love to see how they would go about making a movie or tv miniseries about the second set of three Dune books.

House Harkonen is my favorite of the books, no doubt about it. The original movie was very good, spot on with the books, but they made another version where all the actors were as over weight as the baron, not good. I idn't really like the Children of Dune, it was just a little too plotty and under special effected.
