What is the best software to use for Customer Relations Management other than SalesForce?

For small to medium sized business, SugarCRM is an excellent competitor to Salesforce.com. They are largely identical, except that you can opt to host sugarCRM yourself instead of SAS. The subscription cost has to do with what features you need, multiplied by the number of users.

Thanks. I knew I was probably going to get SugarCRM a lot. Thanks also to the guy who said SalesLogix.

Yes, SalesLogix is somewhat similar. The problem with SalesLogix is that it's a Sage product.
Many may remember Sage from the atrocity on mankind known as ACT!. The less fortunate among you may have had the displeasure of having to contact their support personnel on occasion for one of these products. I wouldn't wish such a thing on my worst enemy.
