Why not both? I mean, you don't have to be a supermodel to have your looks appreciated. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think looks and personality come hand-in-hand. Just as the most beautiful person could be the worst bore, a hideous person with a great personality could be equal in terms of attractiveness. If you think your ugly but have a great personality, thats not a good way to look at things. Better to put that you're unique looking and very charismatic, which are what most people remember. How you made your entrance, what stories you told and how you made others feel. Even if your the funniest person, if you think you're ugly, it comes across.

I wouldn't want to be known for looks.
Looks will fad with time, but personality gets better with each joke we tell.
Plus, I've always been so judgmental of how I look.
I always thought my head was too narrow.
My nose too big, and my eyes too far apart.

I would have to say personality trumps beauty. It lasts.

I believe people look for how the person carries him/herself . Every one likes some one friendly even though the looks and fashion are pretty average.

I'd rather be known as the "sweet, cute girl" over the "hot, rude girl."

Would you rather be known for your looks or your personality? If this applies to you which one is it?
You're so vain, you probably think this question's about you? LOL
No, in all serious would you rather be known for how you look/appear.
Or instead is personality the most important quality.

Well, I'm sure that I'll be known for my personality. I wouldn't want to be known for looks.

Plus, I've always been so judgmental of how I look.

Personality. But if you are pretty outside, and selfish or arrogant inside, it shows on your face. So, to some people, you can be ugly. People judge on looks sometimes. Good looking people are labeled as stupid, sometimes. People are sometimes jealous and assign a false personality. Anyone can look good with a good attitude, good health, tidy appearance, and a sense of confidence.

I would rather be known for my personality. Looks are something which can only get you so far in certain areas, but personality goes a very long way. So overall, I would rather be known for my personality, since personality is the only true way to actually know a person. After all, looks can be very deceiving.

I should be known by the personality I have rather than looks . Looks are for short term usage as models , film stars , advertising .You would be replaced easily by next beautifull man or the female . Where as your personality would shine all through . Best Examples are Mr Collin Powell , Ms C .Rice etc .

It is true what they say about "beauty being only skin deep". Of course, we all want to look our best. Nothing brings out beauty more than a beautiful personality. How many times have you met someone and thought what a nice-looking person; then he/she opened his/her mouth? It was like "never mind". How many average or even less than average people have you known who became more beautiful as you got to know them? "Pretty is as pretty does." "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." I would have to say personality trumps beauty. It lasts.

I would like to know for my personality. I am not that great looking. But, I can cover up my looks in smart ways and a timely smile. I believe people look for how the person carries him/herself . Every one likes some one friendly even though the looks and fashion are pretty average.

Everyone does their best to look great, but I would much rather be known for my personality. I have dated so many guys who have great looks, but are such duds and so cocky that it is a complete turn off. I'd rather be known as the "sweet, cute girl" over the "hot, rude girl."

i'd rather be known for my personality. Because if you liked someone, you'd rather they knew you for your personality instead of looks. And sometimes looks can attract the wrong type of people but if people knew you for your personality,i'd rather have them like me because of my personality rather than my looks.
