Sitcoms or dramas? What do you watch most on TV?

I used to watch sitcoms all the time, but when I was with my ex, we got into the cop shows, and medical dramas, and now that's about all I watch. I haven't really found a true sitcom I liked since the Thursday night comedy lineup went off. I used to never miss Friends, Frasier or Cheers when they were one. I like shows like Castle that are a little of both.

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

hmmm sitcom dramas?

I don't watch much tv. I like House which I wouldn't quite call a drama or a sitcom.. I watch iron chef and chopped.. uh law and order SVU and criminal minds. I like criminal minds a lot.. that is a drama so I suppose I lean towards dramas if I'm going to watch tv.

My tv is alwys either on noggin (toddler channel), IFC (Independent film channel they play the coolest most bizarre movies commercial free), food network, USA, or the History channel.

Honestly I'm with @unwirklich. I don't watch much TV. :: High Fives Un!:: I love the Food Network! It is really the only thing I watch...

But I usually have it on for background noise as I'm typing away at the computer....

I watch more dramas than anything else. The depth of these shows and the characters in them are so much deeper and more rewarding than the few laughs I'll get from watching sitcoms.

I do like sitcoms every now and then, but I watch more dramas for sure.

Dramas for me. I just dont "get" most of the sitcoms. Is it because I am not an American and miss some inside jokes? I dont know. But I feel most of the sitcoms are forced. The only sitcoms I really like is Friends, but it's really popular here too. Drama's joke don't fall flat on me, maybe because the main purpose is not to be funny, if I find something funny, it's coincidental. There are many dramas that I love, most of all House. it is very hilarious while dealing with very serious issues too.

The only real sitcom I watch is Two and a Half Men. I watch the news and old movies mostly but also the History Channel. Most of the time though the TV is on I am not even watching it.

I used to watch sitcoms all the time but like others, Two and a Half Men is about the only one I still watch. I have really gotten into all the CSIs, Criminal Minds I love, the Law and Orders and the new one Miami Medical is really good. Other than that, I am watching my three ABC soaps that I DVR everyday and usually watch at night so I can skim through the commercials. I usually can watch an hour show in about 35 minutes by skipping through the commercials. lol
