Since losing weight, my bum has lost its fat - it's getting too painful to sit for more than a few minutes. HELP!
Now I've never had a particularly voluptuous rear to begin with, and now that I have such a low BF%, there's just nothing there.
At the start I could sit for a few hours before it began to hurt, or on a cushioned surface without pain. It's gotten much worse since. My desk chair and chairs at school are cushioned, but within minutes I'm in extreme discomfort. It feels like I'm sitting directly on my ischium (as labeled in the picture below) causing me to squirm to sit forwards off the bone, slouch to sit more on my back, or cross-legged to keep my bum off the chair. I had a 2 hour exam today and almost left 30 minutes in due to the discomfort. Even sitting on a pillow and feels like the bone is in direct contact with the chair. It doesn't feel like it's doing my back any good either.
Does anyone have a suggestion of what might work for me?

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Exercises like squats and lunges are great for that.

There's also padded underwear that can help. Check out http://www.lovemybubbles.com/
