Since having my second baby my hair seems to be in poor condition. What can I do?

I am not sure what happened. When I was pregnant with my first child I never had problems with my hair. I am breastfeeding this time. What can I do to get my hair looking better?

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Being pregnant and breastfeeding can take alot out of us. You can start by asking your doctor if you should continue taking vitamins. I assume you took prenatal vitamins while pregnant. He or she may suggest you either continue taking them or perhaps they can suggest another great multivitamin.

In general, watch what you eat. East a well balanced diet. Sometimes when we have a bay we can forget to eat. Or perhaps we do not think we have time to cook a healthy meal. Make a conscious effort top provide your body with vitamins and minerals it needs. This will help your hair as well. Drink plenty of water, exercise and avoid things that damage the hair such as chemical processes and thermal hair tools.

Have your ends cut if they are split.

All these things can truly help your hair look better.

I did burdock and vinegar rinses and the results were amazing. My hair started majorly falling out after I had my daughter and was breastfeeding her for a while. Basically get an ounce of burdock from your health food store or herbalist, boil it in 2-3 cups of water, cool, add 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar. Rinse your hair in this as often as you like, maybe every time you shower. My hair got strong again with a vengeance, plus I was also really watching what I eat. Your nutrition is the main reason for weak hair and nails, and your baby is taking a lot of you through the milk. Eat plenty of raw fruits and veggies, nuts and seeds which are rich in omega-3s and healthy protein. Drink lots of water, it flushes your body of toxins, improving your system's defenses.
