Show us your favorite beach!

I'm feeling just beach-y today! Sorry, bad joke, but still, I love the beach - but sadly, living in Dallas makes me miss those sandy shores. Cheer me up and by adding your best beach pictures! Make sure you tell me where it is so I can dream...

I am just 30 minutes away from Dauphin Island Beach.
I have never seen whiter sand than here.
Makes me appreciate the Gulf Coast.

I absolutely love Navarre Beach, which is located on Santa Rosa Island in the Gulf of Mexico. The beach is amazing, and I love the color of the water there. Can't wait to go back!

Qualicum Beach, British Columbia. Not only can you see the mountains from the beach, but there's rainforests just a few minutes away. Best of all - it's never busy, even in the middle of summer and just a hop, skip and a jump away from my house.

It's pretty sweet, that's for sure!

Not quite as picturesque as some of the other beaches further south, but not too bad for Canada.

Gorgeous!
I love Turtle Bay - the wife and I went a few years ago and it's definitely in our top 5.
However, I have to admit - learning to surf is on my Bucket list and I hear Pipeline is the place to be. There and North Shore.
Awesome!

Assateague Island, Virginia. Wild horses make their home on Assateague Island and once a year the Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company raises money by rounding some of them up, swimming them across the channel, and auctioning them off.

This is Cayucos Pier at sunset on California's Central Coast. There are a number of quiet secluded beaches along this magnificent stretch of coastline. No palm trees, no exotic locations just the hand of God and a painted sky - glorious:

Coastal beach just north of Cayucos, California:

I really like Rye Beach in Rye New Hampshire. I'm partial to this beach because of its location.. just 45 miles from me. Although Hampton Beach gets a lot of the attention in NH Rye Beach offers some solitude and flexibility. There are very rarely throngs of tourists and the beach is usually occupied by local residents and their families. Just north of Hampton NH, Rye Beach has a lot or a little to offer depending on how you look at it.

I love Playa Sosua in the Dominican Republic. It is great because it is 1 Kilometer long and the entire backside is lined with small bars, restaurants and shops. There is always music playing and people dancing, or you can find a quiet spot and just relax.

Pampelonne beach in St. Tropez (France). Here is where one of the first European high society spots was established and ever since it has become a Mecca for wealthier individuals in the summer. The beach is home to many legendary beach clubs including Nikki Beach, Club 51, Tahiti Beach and La Voile Rouge!

The beach, which is located at the Cote d'Azur close to St. Tropez, is 4.5 km long and offers peace and tranquility or partying and 45 Euro water bottles. For me, the best beach in the world.
