Should women be "allowed" to breastfeed in public?

*I was in the Peruvian countryside 2 months ago and breastfeeding actually was not just the act of feeding infant children but also walking, talking, fully-toothed (ouch!) children as well. Admittedly this was a big awkward, as women would just be sitting there and then their 3 year old child would come up and search for the mothers breast, and actually sit and feed. Nobody flinched.

M$So, as long as women don't pop out a teet in the middle of a conversation, I'm very fine with it.
What I'm not fine with are women who just start breastfeeding at any given moment, and expect me to pretend nothing happens. Yes, I'll try to ignore it, and not to stare, but these things do attract the eye (in a non-sexual way, I have to add).

M$Now please don't take this personally, but wow I find it offensive that someone equates picking their nose with breastfeeding a human child :(
Being an Australian, where breastfeeding in public happens, and pretty much anywhere you 'might' see someone breastfeeding, its really not a big deal. Most women don't just flop it out willy nilly. You think that's comfortable for them too?
We do this because its like anyone else eating ( not nose picking ) - its eating - and I think its OK to eat in public :)

M$It is a absolut natural act - and if a baby has hunger the only way to stop crying is to feed it!
